Wireless Tour Guide System
Multi-channel wireless tour guide and interpretation system for factory visits, museums and exhibitions, with bodypack transmitters and receivers.
A guide speaking to twenty people inside a working factory or a busy exhibition hall is competing with machines, crowds and distance. A tour guide system gives the guide a bodypack transmitter and each visitor a receiver with an earpiece, so the voice arrives at a constant level wherever the group stops. Several channels can run at once, which lets two groups cross the same route without hearing each other. The same hardware carries simultaneous interpretation when a second language is needed.
