Enterprise WiFi 6/7 Access Point
Ceiling access point for offices and campuses, built for dense client load with PoE power and central management.
Wireless coverage fails in the same two places every time: the meeting room where everyone opened a laptop at once, and the corner where the signal had to cross two walls. An enterprise access point is built for client density rather than for one fast laptop, and it is powered and managed over the same cable that carries the traffic. Ceiling mounting puts the antenna pattern where the clients are, instead of behind a desk. The controller decides channel and power for each unit, which is what stops neighbouring units from competing with each other.
How it is specified
- Wireless standard, and the number of spatial streams per band
- Concurrent radios: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, and which are supported
- Client density expected, not only the peak rate on a single laptop
- Antenna pattern, and the ceiling or wall mount supplied with the unit
- Power over Ethernet class, and the switch requirement that follows
- Management: local controller, cloud platform, or standalone without a controller
- Whether a second Ethernet port is free for a downstream device
Where it is used
- Offices and meeting floors
- Campus buildings and student residences
- Warehouses and factory floors
