Rack Mount Console Monitor
1U drawer with an LCD panel, keyboard and trackpad, pulled out when the cabinet needs local access and closed away when it does not.
Control rooms and server cabinets do not need a screen in daily use, but installation, fault finding and work below the operating system do. A drawer keeps the display, keyboard and pointing device inside the rack on rails, so the front of the cabinet stays closed and nothing is left on a shelf. The panel takes the output of the equipment above it directly, and a KVM stage lets one drawer serve several machines.
