Hybrid Solar Inverter
Hybrid solar inverter for grid-tied and off-grid systems, managing solar, battery and grid power with monitoring and remote management.
A hybrid inverter is the point where three sources meet, and every decision about which one to use is made there. It harvests what the array produces, charges the battery with the surplus, and decides what to export or draw from the grid. When the grid fails, the transfer time and the size of the protected output decide what actually keeps running. Sizing is set by the array and the battery voltage, not by the load alone, and the battery communication protocol has to be agreed before the order.
How it is specified
- Rated AC output, surge capability, and single-phase or three-phase connection
- PV input voltage range, MPPT count, and maximum input current per tracker
- Battery voltage and chemistry, and the communication protocol supported
- Grid-tied with export, export-limited, or zero-export configuration
- Backup output: transfer time, protected loads, and whether it is a separate circuit
- Monitoring: local display, app, portal, and Modbus or API access
- Protection rating and mounting location, indoor or sheltered outdoor
- Parallel capability for capacity expansion, and the cabling that requires
Where it is used
- Residential rooftop systems with battery storage
- Small commercial and farm installations
- Off-grid and weak-grid sites
- Backup supply for critical circuits
