EV Charging Station
Electric vehicle charging station for homes, workplaces and public parking, with AC or DC output, load management and safety protection.
A charging point is chosen by how long a vehicle stands still, not by the highest number on the datasheet. Where a car is parked for a working day, an AC unit at a few kilowatts fills it comfortably and costs far less to install; where a vehicle must be turned around in half an hour, only DC output will do. The real constraint is usually the building supply, so the unit has to be able to share or throttle its output against the load already there. Cable, protection and earthing are part of the charging installation, not accessories.

- Load management: static limit, or dynamic balancing against the building supply
- Authentication and billing: RFID card, QR code, app, or free access
- Protection rating and operating temperature for an outdoor or covered bay
- Mounting: wall bracket or floor pedestal, with cable management
