Fiber Stripping Pliers
Miller-type pliers with calibrated holes for the 250 micron coating, the 900 micron buffer and the outer jacket.
Fiber is stripped in stages and each layer needs its own hole size. Using a knife, or the wrong notch, scores the cladding and the splice fails months later in the field. This tool has a separate calibrated hole for the coating, the buffer and the jacket, a spring return, and a stop that keeps the blades from closing on the glass itself.
