Smart Water Meter

Mechanical measuring chamber with an electronic register that reports consumption over NB-IoT or LoRa, and keeps a dial for manual reading.

The meter measures flow mechanically and counts it electronically, so the figure on the dial and the figure in the platform come from the same movement. Consumption is reported on the interval the utility sets, and patterns such as continuous low flow or a sudden burst are flagged by the platform instead of being found on a site visit. A motorised valve can be built in for remote open and close.

How it is specified

  • Nominal size and connection: DN15 to DN300, threaded or flanged

  • Communication: NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, M-Bus, RS-485 or pulse output
  • Power: battery with a stated service life, or mains where a supply is available
  • Valve: none, or a motorised valve for remote open and close
  • Protection and temperature class for the installed environment
  • Data: reporting interval, stored history and the protocol the platform expects

Where it is used

  • Residential blocks and apartment buildings
